In true Walton fashion, we have gone out and bought ourselves a "trottage", which is a trailer with built in room around it! It isn't actually a real word, Glen just made it up! Our new vacation destination is only an hour from where we live, it is on Otter Lake and seems a really nice place. There is a beach, a pool, a park and open space for the kids to run and have fun! We have a little shed in the back and a fire pit, so it is basically all ready to go. Glen is super excited and the boys are too but they really have their heart set on bunk beds so we will have to get some for the bedroom. It will be a bit challenging with Priya in her latest phase which is complete independence. She wants help with nothing, doesn't want to hold hands when she walks and certainly has no interest in walking in the same direction as everyone else. Don't even try to pick her up or she will shrill so loudly your ears bleed! So needless to say our summer will be interesting to say the least.
On another note, I began working at Algonquin College last week. Couldn't be happier. It is a place I feel really comfortable and it is at a better pace compared to high tech. So I am feeling a big pressure off of me and am just really happy!! It helps to have such a great family and such great weather coming our way finally. Can't wait for summer to kick in!
