HALLOWEEN 2008

This Halloween was enjoyable, the weather was perfect and warm, and because it was a Friday, we were able to relax, and eat treats without having to rush to bath and bed. The kids went trick-or-treating with Glen, and their friends, Jack, Tommy, and Ella. Afterwards we went to their house for a glass of wine and before we knew it most of the kids had passed out! (not ours unfortunately). It was a great night for all.

Priya was a chicken, Aidan a Ninja Turtle, and Liam a Ninja. As you can tell Priya was not too happy to have to pose for photographs when she could have been out collecting candy! I think we are in trouble with her, she adores the sweet stuff. And, she has a way of getting her way often... Girls are definitely VERY different to boys. The boys are much more easy going, they actually accept no as an answer. If I say no, Priya just moves to the next person until she gets what she wants. (Liam and Mariza are big push overs!)
Please give me candy. If I don't get it I will cry immediately... Look, here it comes... better give me that candy now!

The End of August, the End of Summer Holidays

The last long weekend of the summer was fantastic! It was extra long for Glen and the boys, they went up to the lake on Thursday and Priya and I joined them Saturday morning bright and early! There was a big pot luck dinner and Canadian Idol content on Saturday evening and the kids LOVED it! Priya was boogying big time and clapping her hands and yelling YAY! after each performance. When they invited people up on stage to dance, Aidan joined right in, dancing his little heart out! It was such a delight to see all the kids enjoying themselves so much. After a bit of dancing and dessert we all headed to the beach for the annual fire works! Then there was a dance inside the hall with a DJ and lights and everything. Too fun! Priya and Aidan missed the dance, they were pooped, but Liam went and has really enjoyed meeting all his friends up at Otter Lake.

Summer Photos

Here are some August photos, the kids have really had a great summer. No big trips, but no big stress to follow either. It has been great spending time up at the lake, I think it will be a long winter counting down the months til we will be able to go again..

Well after all of that playing, it is time to get cleaned up! Nothing feels better than the first bath after a few days up at the lake. (Liam was the hairstylist for this photoshoot)

Trottage Weekend!

This week the boys and Glen went up to the lake on Thursday and Priya and I joined on the weekend. The Flockton's came for a nice visit and we all had a great time. The kids swim, fish, catch creatures like toads, snakes, crayfish, and... well... fish, and relax in the evenings with a fire and some marshmellow roasting. Quite the nice weekend! Thanks for the Flockton's (and earlier in the week, the Kennedy's for spending time with our family).

Summer Photos

It is August already and it has been a busy great so far. Baba comes for a visit soon with Grandpa Kurt, so that will be nice. The kids are up at the trottage alot, out at the park alot, and are really just so lucky to have a great caregiver like Mariza who keeps them busy and having fun! Glen has been able to take days here and there to bring them up to the trottage and they are up there with friends as I type this. Priya and I will be joining them after work today! Yay!

Spoke to my friends Jennifer in Gibbons, and Amelia in Winnipeg this week, I MISS YOU GUYS! I hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying their summer.

Here is the compromise. Aidan wants to sit in Priyas stroller. Priya doesn't want to sit in her stroller but she also doesn't want Aidan in there either, so he pulls her up and they sit together. Siblings working it out!
