May long weekend

We are already at May long weekend, this month has flown by. We had a little run in with some nasty virus early in the month, making all of us snotty, tired and grumpy. It has passed now and so has all the rainy weather. It is amazing outside now, just like Alberta summer. Not humid, a dry heat. We have been outside alot, biking, playing at the park, just enjoying this great time before it gets crazy hot. Did my 20K last weekend, it went really well. Then did a 6K at race pace today in the heat and almost died. I am so anxious for race day to come. One week left!!

Here is my amazing family, out on the deck having a nice little chat.
AWE, little naked Priya!

Here is the crew, we took their bikes to the festival and it was a bit hectic trying to weave through all the crowds.

Okay, so next time we won't take the bikes and we will make sure to take photos BEFORE we stuff our faces with ice cream and goodies! Their little cheeks are dyed blue from the popsicles.

Such pretty little sisters. Sophie and Dominique (fellow Albertans)

Little Samantha Damm!

Okay, finding it very difficult to get all the children to pose for a photograph after hopping them up on sugar!

May has arrived!

Liam playing up a tree with Leighton Walters

Yay, my favorite month is here! It is still a bit cold here, but not cold enough to keep us out of the park every afternoon.

We have had a good week with the exception of Glen who is sick with an ear infection and some sort of virus. We have all gone through some sort of illness in the past month, I guess he was due!
Priya is teething again, poor thing. She has been a bit irritable but for the most part she is still her smiling self. The sleep thing has been tuff though. The boys are loving being outside so much, and it is making for some tired kids come 7 pm. Liam starts t-ball tonight and they both start soccer soon, so they will be nice and tired out on those days.

I am still training and did my first 18k on Sunday. It went really well, we did it in 1 hour 43 minutes. We do the same again this Sunday and then 20K Mother's Day weekend. I have booked a massage the afternoon of the 20K because I am pretty sure I will be sore after that one!!

We finally have some closure on Aidan's dog attack last year. Yesterday the owner agreed to have the dog put down.

The story made page 2 of the Ottawa Sun, with a sad little photo of Aidan.
