December is flying by!

Holy cow, this month is flying by. It always amazes me. Here are some photo's of the lovely brude.

Here is Priya hamming it up at Liam's Christmas concert. There are no photos from the concert because they are too blurry and you can't see Liam. I forgot to charge my camera battery and Glen's point and shoot is only so good...
Yes, she is posing. She loves to have her photo taken. This is going to be her Christmas day outfit. It was lent to us by our good friends the Finlay's.

Here are my little super stars! They both did amazing at their Christmas concerts. It is always so sweet to see them perform.

Here are some photos of our finished basement. This is the play area, hockey table, puppet theatre, castle and all the toys you can shake a stick at!

Here is a shot of Glen's part of the basement. The kids are barely aloud to face this part of the basement! He is in love with his new tv, that is for sure. Over to the side I have my early Christmas present, a treadmill and Glen has a stationary bike. Hopefully these will be used on a regular basis!!

The Christmas tree is up!

December has arrived in full fury! We have snow that just won't quit. For many years we have scoffed at all the snowy provinces in November and now look, we are one of them! On a high note, it has really brought the Christmas spirit to our home, we are all enjoying being cozy indoors and thoughts of sugar plum fairies are all dancing in our heads!

Here is the lovely Priya helping add the extra decorating touches to the tree. A handful of markers will do nicely!

Happy Halloween

It was fantastic weather for Halloween this year. Record breakingly warm! The kids had a good time and they went out with their friend Alexis and later Tommy and Jack from down the street. Priya stayed in and handed out candy with me. She loved seeing all the kids and she loved hearing Zoe barking when the bell rang. It was a fun night for all.

Happy Birthday Priya!

Happy 1st Birthday to my beautiful baby! She is so amazing. We had a lovely birthday/Thanksgiving with the family and Priya was spoiled by all of her friends and family. Yes, I AM beautiful.... I know! I can't wait til I learn to spin and I can spin around in all my lovely dresses!
Here are the boys putting on a play for Priya and Elmo. Priya received this puppet theatre and now we need to get some puppets. The boys were using Transformers, but the audience wasn't amused!

Here is Priya with her new favorite dolly. It's eyes open and close, it's blanket lights up and it plays a little lullaby. So sweet.

Here is Priya with Emily, who brought Priya the beautiful dress and cardigan that she is wearing. Emily is our children's stylist/aunty/babysitter and our very good friend. Aidan has told me that if anything happens to Glen and I, Emily will take care of them.

Our new caregiver!

As most of you know, we have decided that we would hire a live-in nanny so that I can further persue my career. I have truly been so lucky to have been home with my children as they have grown and I am also very excited to now balance my family life with my career outside of the home.
Mariza has recently moved in and she is amazing! Really amazing. The kids really like her and though Priya has taken a bit of time, in less than two weeks she is now so much more comfortable. It looks like I will be starting work very soon at BTI Photonics and I am really excited. I know the first weeks will be difficult emotionally, but I have been mentally preparing for this moment for half a year so I look forward to the next chapter of our lives.

School is in!

Aidan's very first day of JK! He is with his teacher Ms. McNeil.
Liam with his teacher Mlle. Renee. He is in a class with his very good friends from the past two years and is having a wonderful year so far. Has already had his first award for cooperation.

Priya is really enjoying her time at the school for drop off and pick up, playing in the sand and watching all the children playing. She will hopefully continue to enjoy it since she is going to be there THREE times a day!!!

Okay so isn't she the smartest little baby? Walking at 10 months!! I am biased I admit.

Aidan Turns 4!!!! Happy Birthday Baby!

Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuuuu. Aidan had his party and had a great time. It was difficult to convince him to invite kids his own age because he wanted all of Liam's friends, but it was well worth it. The kids were all such good boys. We had the usual games like pin the tail on the donkey and the big hit, musical statues as seen in the video below. Aidan got some neat toys including his favorite Bumble Bee Transformer from our good friend Emily. He also got a Cranium game called Cariboo which I cannot recommend enough. The boys play it every day.

Trip to the Valleyview Farm

Here are some photos of our trip to the farm. The kids got to go with Grandma, Aunty Amanda as well as Kurtis and his family. Liam's best friend is Kurtis and they were in Senior Kindergarden together. They have spent alot of time together over the summer and Kurtis is a great kid.
The farm has a little petting area for the smaller animals and a play park for the kids to run around in. It is always a great hit with the kids. Priya enjoyed it too, she is so close to walking now, she cruises everywhere.

Liam and Aidan both played soccer this summer. They are definitely much better than at the beginning of the season. Liam made some great friends not to mention some great goals, and Aidan seemed to win every skill competition. If only he would participate in the actual games he would be a superstar!

Grandma and Aunty Amanda Visit!!

Grace and Amanda came for a visit this August, what a nice time had by all. Amanda came for one week, and Grace stayed for three. We were pretty busy it seemed, and the time passed so quickly. The highlight was the girls weekend of shopping in the states. We had a great time shopping at the Finger Lakes outlets and the Carousel Mall in New York. Those girls really know how to shop! I was able to get the kids back to school clothes and shoes, as well as some back to work clothes for myself. The kids enjoyed having Amanda and Grace, Aidan actually began dressing in Grace's clothes towards the last week. He was hiding some of her shirts in his bed, perhaps in his attempt to keep her here. Thank you Grace, for all your help!

Hey Aunty Amanda! The kids loved having her visit. Aidan has insisted that Grandma Grace send Amanda back to our house upon her return to Winnipeg.

A Nice Visit with Baba!!

Wow, a Baba that goes slip and sliding!! Top that! The kids loved having a visit from their Baba, she brought them great gifts and spent some really nice quality time with all of us. Plus she babysat so I could get my runs in, and even go on a date with Glenny! It was really nice and we miss her already. She would kill me if I put on the video of her slip and sliding, but kudos to her for being so great!

Vacation at Wolfe Lake

Our trip to the cottage was very nice again this year. We had wonderful weather for the first days and then it rained the last two. We had some from friends up for the first few days and then we spent some time with Dan and Christine some friends that we hadn't seen since last year who have moved out near Westport. It was great catching up with them. The kids had a very nice time out on the boat, fishing and swimming. We did our usual day trips to Westport on the rainy days for a bit of shopping and dining out. We really love it there. Here is a photo of a deer and a fawn which you can't see. We saw deer and wildlife alot and always enjoy being in the wilderness where Glen can threaten Aidan with the wild wolves story that if he wanders too far they will get him. Nice hey? At least it works though;-)
